When is comes to police, protection, and security dogs, only consider a company that has trained dogs to be proficient in real life scenarios. Our competitors have neither the knowledge nor experience in how to select or train a dog for real deployments.

The Competition: FALSE MARKETING

Be careful with false or deceptive marketing claims from other dog training businesses. One of the most common claims from the competition is that their trainers are or were Police k9 or Military Trainers. There is an enormous difference between a dog handler and a dog trainer. Many people are ex-k9 handlers who only handled a dog or two in their careers while working in a Police department or in the Military and are now falsely introduced as dog trainers from the Military or Law enforcement.

Handlers are not Trainers: they lack the experience of training hundreds of dogs, so do not be fooled.

If you call a company about such an advertisement, ask the following questions:

Was your trainer the head Trainer for the agency who certified the dogs and, if so, for which agencies and how many dogs did he or she personally train (not handled) to be in service?
Was your trainer the person responsible for Certifying the k9 team to be in street service?
Is your trainer Certified as a Police K9 Trainer or was he Certified as a k9 handler?
How many police dogs has your trainer personally trained, and are they currently on street duty?

We can assure you that you can easily conduct a background check on these trainers and discover that most were only handlers with limited experience, not Head Trainers.

Another common false advertisement used by the competition is that their trainers worked with Police k9s. What exactly does this mean? Remember you are not a Police K9 trainer if you only have experience in the following:

Agitating police dogs.
Handling green dogs in obedience in a police k9 kennel.
Agitating protection dogs.
Trained sports (Ring Sport, Shuzthund) dogs. A sport dog is not a Police k9
Sold a dog which later was trained by Man-k9 to become a Certified Police k9 which then went on to worked on the street.
Have a relative that Trains Police k9.
Handling a police dog in the field.
Handling a military dog in the field
Training protection dogs.
