I'm not one to write reviews- but my experience with Man-K9 was so phenomenal that I just have to share! While doing my research looking for a dog to add to the family, I happened across their website. They were so professional and friendly, answering ALL my questions and concerns. I wanted a trained companion dog that would be able to adjust to our family life. With two young kids and two cats that had not been around dogs, it was important to me to find just the right dog. Not only did they raise up the perfect addition to our family, but they have also done a wonderful job training us how to handle him properly. He is just the best and has impeccable manners. The care they put into their pups (even after you bring them home!) is so obvious and the guidance they give to help us humans be successful is fantastic. They go above and beyond! I couldn't imagine going anywhere else if we ever wanted another fur-ever family member 🙂 BTW-This is my daughter walking him. We encountered other dogs, neighborhood cats, rabbits, squirrels, and the like. He could not have cared less about any of those distractions.
My wife and I recently bought a female Rottweiler from this business. Laurie from the Man K9 staff was very patient with us and knowledgeable about all of the pups. We spent a few hours being introduced to dogs with no pressure to buy. Once we selected our dog, the process was easy. We were provided all of the paperwork we needed as well as advice on future medical care, boarding, and training. We have boarded our pup here several times. They have a great staff and are very easy to work with. The process of dropping off and picking up is seamless. I never have to worry about my dog when she’s boarded there. I trust the staff will take care of her. She always comes home exhausted from all of the exercises she gets while she’s there. Our Rottweiler has definitely become a part of the family. She has plenty of energy and is great with our three small children. She has an excellent temperament for a family dog.
At 18 weeks he weighed 44 pounds – was out of control; jumping, nipping, chewing everything in sight, horrible on a leash, no manners. We found Man-K9 online and went for a visit to verify that they were legit

We dropped Bear (our lab) off the next week for (2) weeks of training at their facility.
Jared was his trainer and he was awesome. Military/K9 trainer background. When we picked Bear up we had an hour class with Jared and Bear. Jared passed on to us valuable information so that all that Bear was taught would stick. All the basics were complete; no jumping, sit, stay, down, come on command, and great on a leash. We had a follow-up class at our home a couple of weeks later that was very valuable.
Bear’s now 6 months old and 60+ lbs…and has manners. We love our new dog.
In summary, Man-K9 is an outstanding Company; Jared is a professional. He loves dogs and loves his job.

I can't say enough good things about Man-K9. Laurie was great at answering the multitude of our questions and getting us scheduled for our puppies training. When we dropped him off for his week of basic training, Alayna sat us down and went thru all the details of what the training was going to entail. She told us that we would be getting a status update email letting us know how Vern was doing. True to her word, Alayna sent us a very detailed email 3 days after we dropped Vern off explaining to us how he was progressing in his training and detailing, to a T, his behavior and goofiness. One week after dropping him off, we went to pick Vern up at the facility. Ricky sat us down and went thru all the details of the week's training that they put Vern thru, including showing us a couple of videos of Vern in action. Fon also joined Ricky and added more color to the conversation. Ricky and Fon took us to the back of the facility where much of the training occurred. We were able to watch Ricky demonstrate some of the things that they worked on over the week and then seamlessly he transitioned Vern to me in mid-training to begin training my wife and I. We could immediately see the difference in Vern. He was calmer and in more control. We received nearly 1.5 hours of personalized training for us to practice and reinforce the behaviors that were taught to Vern. Much to our surprise, the last step in the process was for a trainer to come to our home 2 days later to see how things were progressing, add any other in-home training we needed, and answer any questions we had. Ricky came and we had several things we wanted him to show us. He took us on a walk with Vern and the other dog and showed us different techniques for keeping Vern focused even with several distractions. Ricky also gave us advice and instruction on how to keep Vern out of the kitchen, how to direct him to his bed, and ways we could have Vern do "his biz" in specific areas of our backyard.
I can't say enough good things about Man-K9 and would recommend them to anyone looking for obedience training for their puppy.
I have been associated with Man-9 for more than 20 years, first as a “decoy” used as a training aid, to be a police K9 handler, and now as a customer. When it came time for me to replace my beloved yellow Lab of 17 years, there was only one place for me to get that replacement. Man K9. Manuel and his staff are frankly the best there is, the after sale follow as it relates to the training of your dog is top notch and I could not be happier with my pup (Bosco) and my experience with Man-K9.
I cannot say enough good things about ManK9. They are extremely knowledgeable, and they really understand dogs of all types. They cater the training to your dog's specific needs, and not cookie-cutter training like other trainers out there. Ricky and Fon were extremely patient and understood our dogs way of thinking to ensure he was successful. Safety is a focus, and we had more headway in 4 private lessons than we have in the 3 years we’ve had our pup. I got my German Shepherd puppy from Man-K9 and now I have a best friend for years to come! I purchased a Dutch Shepherd puppy, during the pandemic lockdown. I attempted online and group training and failed! A friend, who works at a police department, urged me to call Man-K9. From my first email to today, the staff has been professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I showed up to our first day of training, with a stubborn pup who was dog reactive. Since then, she has passed all three of the AKC Good Citizen's tests, attends doggy day care, and can walk off leash in public.
During that puppies training, I decided to get another dog and purchased a Belgian Malinois puppy from Man-K9. She is a balanced pup, who is neutral in public. The aspect that I appreciate the most, is the individual attention. With my first pup, Fon assessed where she was at and implemented a plan. Alayna has done the same with the second pup and is training her to be a service dog. She also trained me! I can now, confidently walk both of them, together, in public and she is working on teaching my first pup agility.
I am grateful that my friend recommended them to me!
My wife and I picked up Yoli, or as we now call her Peyton from Man-K9, and one of their trainers, Alayna. She has been a perfect addition to our family. She is sweet, came well-trained, and has the sweetest disposition. I couldn't recommend more.
Fon and I worked together for about 3 months after another trainer dropped the ball on us. As a result of all of Fon's hard work and direction, and me following up every day with his training techniques, my German Shepherd Freyja succeeded in obtaining her Schutzhund BH certification (obedience) from a well-known Austrian Schutzhund judge our team flew in for our trial.
Obtaining an obedience certification might not seem like such a big deal. But it was epic for me. You see, my pup was viciously attacked by a pack of four dogs when she was 6 months old. My high-drive but sweet dog became very leash aggressive and reactive to other dogs. It was so bad that I considered rehoming her.
But after working with Fon as many as 3 days a week, to begin with, and following up consistently with his training techniques, my pup became more confident, secure, and responsive. The dog that after her attack would be reactive to any dog that walked by can now sit with the other dogs at Schutzhund training, go on pack walks, and participate in agility and dock diving with other dogs.
The first person I called when we won our obedience trial was Fon!
Fun Fact: Don't be put off by all the GSDs and Malinois you see them training. Manuel (the owner and police dog trainer) owns a poodle. Fon (his son and also a police dog trainer) has a goofy yellow lab. In short, they can train any dog.
Man K-9 provides excellent service for personal and law enforcement canines. The methodology is a long-standing tried and true method for success. Manuel also introduces his experiences in the modern world to best train the canine. I highly recommend it for citizens with obedience issues and for law enforcement agencies.

I have been using Man-K9 for approximately four years as our vendor in providing us with police canines. I found a vendor with integrity, a quality product, and excellent customer service. We currently have five canines from Man-K9 in our training group with three of those being at my agency. All five have been highly successful and valuable resources for their agencies. I will continue to use them for future replacements and send everyone there way who is in the market for a quality police canine.
In May 2021, I got our beautiful little princess a Rottweiler named Lily. Man-K9 has been there from the beginning and continues to train, love, and help take care of Lily in the best ways possible. I highly recommend working with Man-K9 for all your dog training needs.

We’ve been taking our boy GATOR here for training and boarding as well since he was a puppy and we couldn’t be happier with the results and customer service they provide. During the first 5 minutes into our very first training consultation, our trainer Alayna (who is amazing btw) had our Belgian Malinois puppy following basic commands! I was speechless. My wife and I had already tried a couple of places before coming here and did a lot of research trying to find the best fit for us. This place has it all from the best training to dog nutrition, boarding, group play, and available trained pups and dogs as well. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
I would give a million stars if I could!! Man-K9 changed my life and my dog’s life. I came to Man-K9 to train my golden retriever puppy. I am not sure who learned more, the dog or me. They gave me the tools and confidence to train my dog and any other dogs I may have in the future. The things I learned here I will carry with me in all K9 experiences in the future. I was amazed at the things they were able to get my young energetic pup to do. Spend 2 minutes with Manuel or any of his staff and you will know exactly why they are the BEST of the best!!! The training is worth every penny. They are knowledgeable and professional. I now have a well-behaved trained dog that I can take anywhere with me. I enjoy my dog so much and with their training, she was the easiest and best puppy I have ever had. I am so thankful for the work they did with my dog and I. Man-K9 has made an unbelievable difference in our lives!! We took our 4-month-old Belgian Malinois in for training and she’s come away with great skills. Her obedience and ability to listen/execute commands greatly improve after every stay. She’s approaching 2 years old now, and we will continue to drive all the way from Orange County for boarding and training because we honestly don’t see the same results with anyone else. The comfort that Man-K9 gives to us is profound; especially having worked with both Manuel and Fon. We have great respect for all their training staff because, for us, their methods and training techniques are made easy to learn and bring real results.
